Kayla Basil

Hi, I’m Kayla Basil. I’m 21 years old and have been an Instructor at Power Plus for about 5 years now. I teach tumbling/ trampoline/ double-mini, and cheerleading prep classes. I occasionally help with birthday parties as well. I graduated from South Fork High School in 2008, after 7 years of being a competitive cheerleader. I loved cheerleading so much that I began my coaching career in 2008 right after my high school graduation. I am now the Co-Head Coach of both the South Fork Jr. High and the South Fork Varsity Competitive Cheerleading squads. I am also a full-time Junior UIS with a major in Psychology and a Minor in Elementary Education. Upon graduation, I plan to become an Elementary School Educator. Cheerleading and tumbling are two of my greatest passions! I love watching students of mine work to their full potentials to develop those same passions. There is no better reward than watching someone practice their hardest and then see their faces light up as they achieve their goals… I get to do all of that while at work! If you want to learn, I want to teach you.
